John King was born and raised in the East End of Houston. Not only were his folks native Texans, but his Mom’s family settled in the Houston-Humble area back before the Civil War. He graduated from Milby High School (2004 State 5A Basketball Champs); Rice University (2003 College World Series Champions) and the Law School at the University of Texas at Austin
